Successful throughout the Meiji, Taisho, Showa and Heisei eras, Yuki Ogura was a pioneer of female Japanese painters. Although more well-known for her portraiture, she has also painted many still lifes. This Fuji, is a very valuable work in the few landscapes of the painter’s repertoire.
