1969 Graduated, Tokyo University of the Arts, Japanese Painting
1971 Completed Master’s Degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts
Became an associate member of the Japan Fine Arts Institute Exhibition
1984 Founding member of Yoko no Kai
1987 Illustrated cover of NHK ”Kyo no ryori (Today’s dish)” magazine for 3 years
1988 Drew illustrations for a serial novel in newspaper “Ki no ne (Tree Root)” by Tomiko Miyao
1989 Europalia 89 Japan in Belgium
1990 Completed Yokohama Sankei-en Rinshunkaku Fusuma-e (Painting on a sliding screen of Rinshunkaku, Sankei-en, Yokohama) “Funi and Peach Flowers”, ”Pine Grove”
1992 Opened the Obuse Museum Nakajima Chinami Hall in Nagano prefecture
1994 Appointed as Associate Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts
1995 Completed Yonkyoku Hansou Byoubu (half a pair/one set of four panels)  “Takizakura at Kuon-ji”
2000 Appointed as Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts

2003 Completed Yonkyoku Hansou Byoubu (half a pair/one set of four panels) “Weeping cherry tree at Yousenji” and “Oukagetumei”
2004 Completed a painting for Gou-tenjo “Dainichinyorai renchizu” of Naibutsuden Houzou Dainichi-do in, Naritasan Tokyobetsuin Fukagawadou
2013 Completed a curtain “Shunju no Fu” for the Kabukiza  Retired as Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, and appointed as professor emeritus.
2014 Completed 12 wall paintings (Fusuma-e) in Sakura room of Okudono, Kongobu-ji, Koya-san
